From the Artist: This beautiful painting has a deepness to it. The deep, dark, rich midnight blue highlighted with the sky blues gives you the feeling of a starry night sky. The subject matter is intriguing - as these aren't your typical balance scales for measuring earthly goods. We can see by the symbolism of the eyes above the flowers on each side that there is something more spiritual at work here. The painting itself also has a dusting of glitter that I added while the paint was still wet to further the feeling of a starry night sky. The frame is split horizontally as well, suggesting that there is sky and water. As above, so below. Balance.
