Collection: The Kiss

The Kiss is a 15 in x 20 in (38.1 x 50.8 cm) of a man and a woman about to kiss. Framed dimensions are 17 in x 22 in.

'The Kiss' is a romantic watercolor painting of a woman in the moment just before being kissed by a man who adores her passionately. The clarity of the woman's face in contrast to the abstraction of the man's face indicates that this moment is from her perspective. The fragmentation and conglomeration of different textures conveys that this is a memory - either remembered or in the making.

From a technical perspective, this painting is an exploration of texture. All of my paintings, at their core, are about line and composition, but I'm usually playing with other concepts. In this case, I was playing with texture and fragmentation.
