From the Artist: I was inspired to create this painting because I felt great love for someone, but felt too vulnerable to express my feelings. I feared losing a relationship that I valued deeply. I was aided by the wisdom 'The Truth Shall Set You Free'. Otherwise, we're left in a limbo of angst - not knowing the truth; yet, fearing it as well. This is a reminder to myself and to us all that it is better to allow the vulnerability for your greater good. Either you will be blessed with that which you desire, or you will be set free to find it in another form. But to be mired in the back and forth is no way to live. That is why the woman in the painting is plucking the petals from the flower - it is the age-old game of 'he loves me, he loves me not'.
